May 2, 1611 ... this day in history, the very first King James Version of the bible was published in London by Robert Barker.

We thank God for His Divine Providence in preserving His writings in such an important work, not only spirutally, but historically and culturally.

The KJV is unequaled as the Word of God for the English-speaking world. So many have been convicted and converted while reading the Holy Scriptures such as:

In 1604, King James I of England issued the following decree,

"That a translation be made of the whole Bible, as consonant as can be to the original Hebrew and Greek;
and this to be set out and printed, without any marginal notes, and only to be used in all churches of England
in time of divine service."

Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas? As years go by many people mostly non Christians are going for saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas.
